The Lebanon Youth Basketball Instructional League is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten thru 2nd Grade.  Our goal is to teach everyone the individual and team skills that are the foundation for a great youth basketball player.  It is our hope to teach parents the skills needed to become future LYB head and assistant coaches as well as young adults the skills needed to become certified youth basketball referees.  

Instructional Level I: 
This league is for boys and girls in Kindergarten and 1st Grade  Participants will be divided up into teams of 7-10 players.  The teams will have weekly practices and will play games on weekends.  All games will be played against other internal Lebanon teams.  

Instructional Level II:
This league is for boys and girls in the 2nd grade.  Participants will play in the Cincinnati Premier League (CPYBL) in the Instructional Division.  This division will include a 10 game schedule against other teams in the CPYBL Instructional Division (i.e. some travel to other CPYBL schools may be required).  Games will begin in December and will go through the end of February.  The teams will have weekly practices.   

For both levels, games will use 8ft rims and will consist of four (4) quarters with an eight (8) minute running clock.  The clock will be stopped for free throws and timeouts.  Free throws will be at 9 feet (the bottom of the circle).  Score will NOT be kept for these games.  All players will get equal playing time.  PLEASE NOTE that practices will begin in November and practice times for all teams will be scheduled between 5:30pm-9:00pm during the week.   Unfortunately, due to tight gym availability, there will be times that the younger grades will need to practice later in the evening.  Please understand and consider this fact before signing up for the league.

Registration and fee details for the current season will be available on the registration page during the registration window.  A Lebanon jersey will be provided as part of the fees and will be worn for practices and games.
